The D.P.W. Complex is located at 120 Theophilus F. Smith Road and you can conveniently reach us by calling 508-760-6220.  Office hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  Please be prepared to provide your name, address, and phone number so we can contact you with an answer to your request.

The Department of Public Works provides a myriad of professional services to the public.  The Department maintains the Town's sanitation, highway, grounds, cemeteries, municipal buildings, and engineering divisions.  In addition, it supports all other municipal departments with their endeavors.

It is our goal to provide the public with the highest quality service within our resources.  The Department is committed to providing a professional staff that is responsive to the needs of the Town as a whole.  From the occasional downed tree limb, snow removal, or natural disasters, staff members are many times the first to respond in the event of emergencies and are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Departmental staff have obtained a wealth of experience and knowledge over many years of service. Many staff members have commercial driver's licenses, are hazardous waste-site certified, construction supervisors, or have many other specialized talents and/or licenses.  Continuous training of staff members in safety, professional education, and cross-training in multiple operations strengthens our ability to serve you.
