The Recreation Commission has been meeting weekly over the past three months, working diligently to shape the vision for a future community center. With valuable input from residents, they have identified the core features needed to best serve the entire community. Collaborating closely with the project architect, the Commission has finalized these design elements and is now moving forward to evaluate the best site at the Wixon property for the facility. The space needs include all-purpose rooms, a teen and game room, large, multi-purpose gym with walking track, fitness center, arts and crafts, and music room. The Commission remains on track to present the Community Center proposal to approve a sum of money for the design of the building at the October Town Meeting. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
