Town of Dennis Announces Senior Center Re-Opening Dates
The Dennis Council on Aging is approaching permanent occupancy status for the 10,000 square foot addition to the Senior Center (DSC), the new Dennis Center for Active Living (DCAL), and is forecasted to be move-in ready in September.
The Council on Aging proposes to host a Senior Center Re-Opening event on Wednesday, September 22, at 10:00 AM, at the new Golden Age Pals Center, to welcome new and returning participants and caregivers to the new space.
A Grand Opening event for the Dennis Center for Active Living would be held on Tuesday, October 19 at 10AM, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting, including acknowledgements by town and elected officials and stakeholders. Upon the Board’s approval of these dates, a press release will be issued with details. Grand Opening Day activities will include guided tours provided by volunteer docents and a photo essay exhibit on the history of the project will be on display. Program demos will be staged in the fitness rooms, ballroom, the Golden Age Pals Club House, and more. The Café and Thrift Gift Boutique will also be open for service.
