Recreational quahog harvest will open on Monday, December 1, 2025. Quahogs may be harvested on Saturdays and Mondays. Weekly harvest limit for quahogs is (1) 10-quart basket.
Recreational oyster harvest will open on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Oysters may be harvested on Sundays. Weekly harvest limit for oysters is (48) pieces.
The week begins on Sundays. A valid recreational shellfish license required.
2026 Recreational Licenses Go On Sale Dec. 1
2026 licenses will go on sale on Monday, December 1, 2025. Licenses can be purchased by cash or check at the Natural Resources Department in Dennis Town Hall located at 685 Route 134 South Dennis, MA 02660. Dennis residents must bring proof of residency. All shellfish licenses are valid from January 1 - December 31.
Below is the fee schedule for recreational shellfish licenses:
Residents: $40
Non-residents: $100
Over 70: $12
