Blueberry Patches

Information Regarding the Town Blueberry Patches

UPDATE: The Town Blueberry Patches are CLOSED for the Season

The Town of Dennis has two Blueberry Patches. The Cross Patch was opened to the public in 1975 and is located on Fieldstone Drive in Dennis. In 2014, the Town opened a second blueberry patch called the Pond Street Patch, which is located on Pond Street in West Dennis.

Blueberry Picking

U-PICK Blueberry picking is offered to town residents only. When you arrive to pick blueberries, please remember to bring proof of residency with you. Also, please bring your own container to transfer the blueberries into. The picking season runs from mid July through early August each year. Please DO NOT park in the road at the Pond Street Patch. It is advisable to bring bug spray. The price for blueberry picking is $2.00 per quart and volunteer staff will accept CASH ONLY. Please be kind and only pick blueberries when the patches are open, so we may continue this tradition of blueberry picking here within the Town of Dennis.

Volunteer work days are held upon the schedule listed below. Help in the blueberry patches is always needed and welcome. The Town of Dennis and our volunteers help with mowing the grass, fertilizing, pruning the bushes, assist with blueberry sales, and aid the native plantings to help ensure the health of our blueberry crop. If you would like to be a volunteer, please contact the DNR office at 508-760-6123 for more information.
