Community Gardens

VeggiesThe Dennis Community Gardens offer residents a place to share gardening experiences, make new friends, gather advice and learn. The use of these gardens is administered by the Town, and this opportunity is available for residents only. Gardeners pay a $20 fee annually to use an assigned plot. Plots are assigned to individual residents and their use must be renewed annually. Plots cannot be "passed on" to other family members. They are supplied with water and compost removal.

The Town of Dennis has three community gardens: Shoop Memorial Garden, Seaview Park Garden, and Fisk Garden. The biggest garden is Shoop Memorial located off Route 6A with over seventy garden plots that are approximately 20' by 20' and 4 raised beds. Each raised bed measures to be 3' by 4' and has a durable path around it that is suitable for individuals in wheelchairs or who have limited mobility. Seaview Park is the second largest garden located off Lower County Road with 28 plots, sized approximately 17' by 19', 4 of which are designed to accommodate physically challenged gardeners. Fisk is the smallest garden located on the corner of Fisk Street and South Street with 13 plots.

Each garden has a Wait List maintained by Town staff. If you are a Dennis resident and are interested in being placed on the waiting list for a garden plot, please fill out the "Garden Wait List Application" and submit via mail.
