MassDOT is replacing the two culverts under Route 6A that connect Sesuit Harbor with Scargo Lake. The undersized culverts are being replaced with 7 foot wide by 5 foot tall culverts to improve flow and provide for better fish (herring) passage.
The work is being performed by Robert B. Our Co., Inc (Harwich). The construction started with utility relocation in 2023 with the culvert replacement occuring in Fall 2024. The project is expected to be completed by the end of Spring 2025.
