Scargo Lake Landings Project
The Town of Dennis is working with the Association to Preserve Cape Cod (APCC) to improve water quality at two landings on Scargo Lake at Dr. Lord's Road and 961 Route 6A. APCC successfully applied for and received grants on behalf of the Town for the design and permitting of both sites through the Southeast New England Program Watershed grant in partnership with Restore America's Estuaries. Horsley Witten was hired with the funds as the design consultant to prepare construction plans and specifications for the sites. APCC submitted the designs to the Office of Coastal Zone Management and received another grant for $674,000 for construction under the Coastal Habitat and Water Quality program.
The project was put out to bid this fall and is currently under construction. The work is being performed by JW Dubis & Sons (Chatham) and is expected to be completed by the end of Spring 2025.
